Fawlty Towers

Netflix Pick of the Week: Fawlty Towers (1975)

Need a new show to watch? Well, Fawlty Towers is an absolutely hilarious tv show that still manages to stress me out while I’m sitting on the couch.

Fawlty Towers (1975-1979)

PG | 30 mins | Comedy, British | TV Series (1975-1979)

Imagine the rudest man in the world running a hotel that attracts some of the worst visitors you’ll ever see. That’s pretty much Fawlty Towers. The entire series (12 episodes) is now available on Netflix and is a quick series to get through. Basil’s wit and snide remarks really make the show for me, although I could have used less of Basil’s wife. Something about her voice and attitude just bother me. There’s a reason she’s called the dragon of the hotel. I warn anyone who relates to characters emotionally. You will be stressed out just watching the predicaments Basil gets in, but it’s worth many of the laughs.

Last Week’s Pick: Who Framed Roger Rabbit

8/10

PG Rating. PG-13 Movie.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit didn’t get my full appreciation when I was younger. When I was younger not only did I miss many of the jokes, but it freaked me out. Judge Doom is just scary. After watching it with a more mature perspective, it’s pretty entertaining. I’ll definitely be watching this more often. I did feel that I was watching a movie that was geared to adults more than children and that’s why I felt it should be PG-13.
